Job Title: Vision Scientist (Open Track Faculty)

Department: Medicine | Ophthalmology

The Ohio State University College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified Vision Scientist to join our faculty as an Open Track Faculty member. This is a tenure-track position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of ophthalmology research and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct innovative research in ophthalmology, with a focus on vision science and its applications.
  • Develop and teach courses in ophthalmology and vision science, at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the university to advance the field of ophthalmology and improve patient care.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and mentorship of students and junior faculty.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or M.D. in ophthalmology, vision science, or a related field.
  • Postdoctoral research experience in ophthalmology or a related field.
  • Strong publication record and a demonstrated ability to secure external funding.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
