Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loan Assistant to join our team at Bank Iowa. As a Loan Assistant, you will play a critical role in preparing and assembling complete loan document packages for Consumer, Ag, and Commercial borrowers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble loan document packages for Consumer, Ag, and Commercial borrowers.
  • Maintain comprehensive loan files in accordance with bank specifications.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers to provide seamless, friendly, and quality client service.
  • Compile loan applications, organizational documents, appraisals, letters, notices, and other relevant documents for Relationship Manager review and approval.
  • Prepare loan document packages using a combination of Laser Pro and bank-approved templates.
  • Order title certificates, appraisals, flood determinations, and ensure applicable documents are successfully recorded via e-recording or at the local courthouse.
  • Create and maintain accurate and comprehensive loan files in OnBase that adhere to bank loan file standards.
  • Receive and process loan payments.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • At least one year of previous work experience in a professional office setting, preferably within a financial institution processing loans.
  • Strong customer service focus, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work collectively in a team environment, and ability to handle multiple tasks and work with client information in a confidential manner.
