Job Title: Loan Assistant

At Bank Iowa, we're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loan Assistant to join our team. As a Loan Assistant, you will play a critical role in preparing and assembling complete loan document packages for Consumer, Ag, and Commercial borrowers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile loan applications, organizational documents, appraisals, letters, notices, etc. for Relationship Manager review and approval.
  • Prepare loan document packages using a combination of Laser Pro and bank-approved templates for Consumer, Ag, and Commercial Borrowers and loans secured by title, real estate, UCC, and other various collateral types.
  • Prepare notices and letters as needed for non-originated loans and troubled credits within compliance-specified timelines.
  • Order title certificates, appraisals, flood determinations.
  • Ensure applicable documents are successfully recorded via e-recording or at local courthouse.
  • Create and maintain accurate and comprehensive loan files in OnBase that adhere to bank loan file standards.
  • Receive and process loan payments.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • At least one year of previous work experience in a professional office setting, preferably within a financial institution processing loans.
  • Ideal candidates will have a strong customer service focus, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work collectively in a team environment across multiple business units, and ability to handle multiple tasks and work with client information in a confidential manner quickly and proficiently.
