Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute installation tasks as outlined in the project’s Scope of Work (SOW).
  • Interpret and analyze electronic schematics and architectural plans.
  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing the installation team, providing daily updates on job site progress, and completing necessary documentation.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact on-site, directing any change requests to the Project Manager for approval and guidance.
  • Coordinate with other trades on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for various installation tasks, including soldering and connector terminations such as XLR, RJ45, fiber-optic, and coaxial.
  • Construct AV racks according to elevation drawings, ensuring professional cable management.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to initiate return material authorizations as required.
  • Conduct point-to-point cabling tests, assess system functionality, and program control and DSP systems.
  • Assist Engineers or Programmers with minor programming adjustments to DSPs or room processors.
  • Configure IP addressable devices to ensure network communication.
  • Create, monitor, and finalize a project punch list.
  • Write and edit code for DSP systems, including Biamp, Qsys, and Shure.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks, diagnose issues, and execute necessary repairs.
  • Provide training to clients as needed.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Proven ability in business writing.
  • Capability to diagnose complex system issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced signal flow for audio, video, and control systems.
  • Advanced understanding of IP networking.
  • Experience leading site teams on large, intricate projects.
  • Ability to conduct site surveys.
  • Basic control system programming and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with specific testing equipment for required applications.
  • Knowledge of industry installation safety codes and standards.
  • Relevant industry-specific training and certifications to meet DMS standards.
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to regularly climb and work from ladders up to 35 feet.
  • At least 6 to 8 years of installation experience in the audiovisual or electronics industry.
  • Current CTS Certification is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal education in Audio Visual, Electronics, or a related field.
  • OSHA Certification.
  • Experience in a Project Site Lead role.
  • Ability to obtain necessary formal clearances may be required.
  • Experience with Enterprise VC solutions such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, and Cisco Telepresence.
  • AVIXA CTS-I certification is preferred.
Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee L1 and L2 Technicians and fulfill Team Lead responsibilities, including sign-off duties.

Work Environment: Varies based on client site requirements.

Physical Demands: Must be physically fit, with lifting required.

Travel Requirements: National and occasional international travel is essential for this role.
