We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Domain Name Services (DNS) Engineer to join our team at SMS Data Products Group. As a dynamic systems integrator, we deliver innovative solutions to support our customers' missions. This role requires a strong background in information system administration, cybersecurity, and network management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide user desktop support, including hardware and network connectivity.
- Maintain a directory of domain names and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.
- Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices.
- Support network and computing infrastructure, including DNS MX records for Microsoft O365 Cloud.
- Monitor system performance and assist in implementing performance tuning.
- Provide support for network security through patching and system maintenance and upgrades.
- Prepare and schedule computer setup, repair, configuration changes, or replacement.
- Provide telephone, e-mail, remote access, or in-person solutions to day-to-day DNS issues.
- Support the IS team in meeting key performance indicators and metrics.
- Assist with the maintenance of records for hardware and software use along with license usage.
- Technical degree in computer science/information systems or related field.
- 5-7 years' relevant experience in Information Technology, preferably in system or application administration.
- DoD M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification.
- CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), (ISC) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), and GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).
- Infoblox Core Network 2016 Advanced Services Expert and Infoblox DDI Professional certifications.
- Active DoD Secret or higher security clearance.
