Operations Coordinator Job Description

Jewish Family & Children's Service (JFCS) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing front-desk staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate staff vacation requests and ensure coverage of critical office functions.
  • Assist with strategic planning for clinic operations and monitor staffing assignments to optimize clinic and patient visits.
  • Oversee application assignments, conduct staff meetings, and track incoming and outgoing members.
  • Monitor required reports to sustain front-end operations and track petty cash funds.
  • Coordinate case transfers to other sites and agencies, and communicate operational policy and procedures to staff.
  • Provide orientation and ongoing training for office functions and coordinate the intake process.
  • Purchase supplies, maintain phone lists, and track new-hire information.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma with coursework or experience in computer science and/or records management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, management, or computer science preferred.
  • Previous work experience in a position requiring significant public contact, preferably in a medical office.
  • Office organization skills and ability to type 45 wpm.
  • Prior Behavioral Health experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience and computer experience with NextGen and Microsoft Office.
