Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team at Flatiron Construction. As a key member of our survey department, you will be responsible for providing technical input to project management and work crews regarding control lines, elevations, contour, and land features affecting construction work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials.
  • Assist in evaluating potential dimensions and field problems.
  • Perform layout work competently and accurately.
  • Check as-built conditions using surveying techniques.
  • Provide topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities.
  • Assist with quantity calculations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in survey and land mapping required.
  • License Surveyor In Training (LSIT) Certification.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to train and direct staff on a project site.
  • Developing knowledge of topographic and cross-section surveys.
  • Strong communication skills, proven with engineering teams and management.

Salary

The salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00/Yr - USD $80,000.00/Yr.
