Construction Bookkeeper Opportunity

A leading general contractor in San Diego, CA, is seeking a skilled Construction Bookkeeper to manage key financial tasks and support the finance department. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in construction bookkeeping or accounting, understands AIA requisitions (G703/G704), and is proficient in Procore construction software.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day invoicing and AP/AR tasks for construction projects
  • Enter invoices into the Yardi software system on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
  • Process check requests from vendors after approval from project managers
  • Collaborate with project managers to review and approve subcontractor invoices and requisitions
  • Assist with miscellaneous accounting duties and provide support in other areas as needed
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience in construction bookkeeping/accounting
  • Must understand AIA requisitions (G703/G704)
  • Must be able to handle the management of payables
  • Knowledge of Procore is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong computer skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle a high volume of different papers and documents
  • Experience with Yardi software is a plus
