Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the engineering efforts during product development, ensuring that all products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
* Provide technical support during the design phase, including material selection, manufacturability analysis, and performance evaluation.
* Develop and implement test plans to validate product designs, including functional, durability, and environmental testing.
* Analyze test data to identify potential design improvements and ensure that products meet all performance criteria.
* Identify opportunities to improve product performance, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturing processes.
* Work with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and monitor their effectiveness.
* Create and maintain detailed product documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
* Collaborate with the manufacturing team to resolve any production issues related to product design.
* Provide technical guidance to ensure that products are manufactured to specification and that any design-related issues are quickly addressed.
* Analyze product costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or performance.
* Work with suppliers to negotiate material and component costs, and explore alternative materials or processes to achieve cost savings.
* Act as a technical liaison with customers to address product-related inquiries, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Gather customer feedback and incorporate it into product improvements.
* Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards.
* Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address any product quality issues.

Requirements:

* B.S. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited institution, or equivalent practical education and experience.
* Minimum of two years of experience in product engineering, product development, or a related field, with a focus on design and manufacturing processes.
* Strong understanding of product design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and adjust priorities in a dynamic work environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
