Position Summary:

The Paralegal will oversee all facets of personal injury cases from initiation to resolution. This position demands strong analytical skills, the ability to manage a substantial caseload, and the capability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team member who thrives in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all stages of personal injury cases from the commencement of treatment to case closure.
  • Collect, analyze, and research pertinent information and documentation.
  • Act as the main point of contact among clients, attorneys, medical providers, lien holders, and insurance entities.
  • Assist in coordinating and managing medical care for clients as required.
  • Provide updates to clients regarding the status of their cases.
  • Address and escalate issues to the attorney as necessary.
  • Compile all relevant medical records and billing information related to cases.
  • Prepare demand letters.
  • Organize files for settlement reductions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Paralegal Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in Personal Injury (Plaintiff) cases is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Smokeball Case Management Software is advantageous.
  • Competence with computers, telecommunication systems, and related office equipment.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Proficient in multitasking and time management, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks.
