Role Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated Litigation Specialist to become a vital part of our esteemed team at Dworkin and Maciariello. Our firm is committed to delivering outstanding legal services to those who have suffered injuries. You will play a crucial role in advocating for clients and ensuring they receive the compensation they are entitled to.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Engagement: Conduct consultations with clients to evaluate their personal injury claims, offer legal guidance, and assess the viability of each case while showing compassion.
  2. Pre-Litigation Management: Collaborate with our advanced case management systems, insurance division, medical team, and case managers to oversee cases from initiation to conclusion. This includes reviewing demands and negotiating with insurance representatives and opposing counsel to secure favorable settlements.
  3. Litigation Duties: Represent clients in court proceedings. Analyze written discovery, conduct depositions of involved parties, medical professionals, and experts. Engage in arbitration, pre-trial conferences, and mediation, and take cases to trial when necessary to achieve optimal results for clients.
  4. Ongoing Communication: Maintain consistent communication with clients, insurance adjusters, and opposing attorneys to keep all parties informed about case developments.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Personal Injury Law
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active legal licensure in Illinois
  • Authorized to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois
  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury laws and regulations
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in legal research and case management tools
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality legal service
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Empathetic towards clients and committed to achieving justice
