Your Responsibilities
As an Artisan Pastry Specialist, you will oversee and prepare all pastry items, ensuring adherence to quality standards, cost control, and presentation. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supervising and expediting all pastry and bakery creations while maintaining quality control.
  • Training and mentoring staff, assigning specific duties, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Reviewing daily banquet function sheets to ensure proper preparation of pastry items.
  • Reporting maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Regularly reviewing recipes to maximize profitability.
  • Coordinating food and beverage requisitions and verifying special requests with the Executive Chef.
  • Ensuring compliance with sanitation practices.
  • Contributing to menu development, including seasonal specialties and daily specials.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and continuous improvement while working as a team member.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • A degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management is preferred.
  • A Food Handler Certificate (if applicable).
  • The ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of culinary arts, pastry techniques, and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with restaurant management software.
  • A flexible schedule, with availability for weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • An understanding of health regulations and compliance standards.
