Availability:

Must be prepared to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Position Overview:

As a full-time Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for crafting and baking a variety of pastries. You will have the unique opportunity to work closely with and learn from our esteemed Michelin Star Executive Chef, Laurent Pillard.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a diverse range of pastries and baked goods.
- Assist in the presentation and plating of baked items.
- Collaborate daily with the Executive Pastry Chef and Assistant Pastry Chef to manage daily tasks.
- Set up and manage the a la carte pastry station in accordance with established standards.
- Follow precise recipes as directed by the Pastry Leadership team.
- Uphold sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere within the pastry kitchen.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
- Engage in club programs and contribute ideas for continuous improvement in products and services.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • No formal experience is necessary; however, a strong desire to learn and a passion for becoming an executive pastry chef are essential.
  • Ability to read and write effectively to facilitate communication.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Basic computational skills are necessary.
  • Capability to read and accurately follow recipes.
  • Ability to demonstrate culinary techniques, including cutting, cooking principles, and plate presentation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as a full-time employee.

Education and Experience:
  • A culinary degree with a focus on baking and pastry is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in upscale or fine dining establishments is advantageous, or a commitment to pursuing a career in pastry.
