Job Overview

A-Line Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a Healthcare Appointment Coordinator. This role offers the opportunity to work with a prominent organization, providing significant potential for career advancement. The position is full-time, requiring 40+ hours per week.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The hourly wage for this role is $18.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment.
  • A 401(k) plan with company matching is available for full-time employees after one year of service.

Position Highlights

  • This is a contract position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on attendance, performance, and business requirements.
  • The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming calls, assess the needs of callers, and direct them to the appropriate staff. Accurately relay messages in a timely manner.
  • Schedule appointments for new and returning patients in the electronic system, adhering to office protocols.
  • Adjust appointment schedules as necessary due to physician availability and notify relevant personnel.
  • Collect and document all necessary authorizations and correspondence related to patient referrals.
  • Maintain the physician's schedule, including on-call duties, vacations, and meetings.
  • Coordinate outpatient appointments and hospital admissions as requested, ensuring pre-certification is obtained when needed.
  • Process new patient referrals, gather essential information, assign patient account numbers, and schedule appointments accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of scheduling experience in a medical office setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Consistent attendance is essential during the initial 90 days of employment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in oncology, chemotherapy, or surgical scheduling is advantageous.
