Job Details:

Purpose

Support the Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) and Contractor Security Officer (CSO) in overseeing security protocols and ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual and Intelligence Community Directives.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct administrative tasks necessary for the upkeep of special programs under the CSSO's and CSO's oversight, including initiating and tracking security administrative actions as mandated by government regulations and approved procedures.
  • Assist in auditing and monitoring local security policies for special programs, conducting self-assessments, responding to inquiries, and reviewing related documentation for accuracy.
  • Facilitate information security tasks such as document control, visitor management, meeting coordination, and maintaining security logs.
  • Support personnel security administrative duties, including coordinating program access requests and maintaining personnel files.
  • Assist in physical and technical security tasks, including maintaining access lists and coordinating alarm testing and maintenance.
  • Perform other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Seven years of relevant experience, including two years in a classified Department of Defense (DOD) or sensitive compartmented information (SCI) environment.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and will undergo a government security investigation, meeting eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five years of experience in administrative security support within sensitive compartmented information environments.
  • Three years in an assistant role to a Facility Security Officer, CPSO, or CSSO.
  • Knowledge of Special Access and Sensitive Compartmented Information programs and government regulations.
  • Experience with Scattered Castles.
