Senior Linux Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our IT team at No Limit Technology. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux systems and endpoint management.
Key Responsibilities:
Linux System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Manage and troubleshoot server-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Endpoint Management:
- Implement and manage endpoint security solutions.
- Configure and maintain endpoint devices, ensuring they meet security standards and policies.
- Perform endpoint troubleshooting and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline system administration tasks.
- Utilize scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure systems comply with organizational security policies and industry regulations.
- Implement security best practices and perform regular security audits.
- Respond to security incidents and provide remediation solutions.
Backup and Recovery:
- Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime.
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various projects and initiatives.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior administrators and other IT staff.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Linux system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g. Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Proven experience with endpoint management and security solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, KVM).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. RHCE, CompTIA Linux LPIC) are a plus.
