Job Summary

Loyola University Health System is seeking a Water Aerobics Instructor to lead group exercise classes and provide instruction to members and non-members of all fitness levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fitness and a strong ability to communicate effectively with participants.

Responsibilities
  • Lead energizing and fun group classes as directed by the Fitness Manager to accomplish Center mission and goals.
  • Build effective relationships with members and help them connect with each other and the Center.
  • Answer questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living.
  • Maintain working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
  • Keep accurate class attendance records and plan new classes each quarterly session.
  • Follow center policies and procedures and respond to emergency situations.
  • Attend staff meetings and training.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science preferred.
  • 1 year of experience teaching group wellness classes required.
  • Water Aerobics Certification required.
