UF Health Shands is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in the Acute setting. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing rehabilitation services to patients with conditions that limit their ability to move, be active, communicate, swallow, and complete daily tasks and activities.
About the Role:This is a PRN position with a 0.40 FTE and afternoon shift hours. You will work in one of our three locations in Gainesville, Florida: the UF Health Heart and Vascular Hospital, the UF Health Shands Hospital and Shands Children's Hospital, or the UF Health Cancer Hospital and Medical Center.
Responsibilities:- Provide rehabilitation services to patients in the Acute setting, working to create and customize the best course of treatment for conditions that limit a patient's ability to move, be active, communicate, swallow, and complete daily tasks and activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maximize physical performance, while addressing cognitive and psychosocial components of care to achieve the best functional outcomes.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet the needs of patients and the team.
- Bachelor's degree or higher as designated by professional license.
- New graduates welcome, with experience or fieldwork in the acute setting preferred.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with others and work as a team.
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida.
