Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and other specialists to support student learning and development.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's level degree in ASL or Education Interpreting.
  • Ability to communicate and interpret ASL.
  • Certified in EIPA, RID, and NIC.
  • Valid California Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
