Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative at the Loveland Recycling Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all Recycling Center customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, checks, and credit card payments.
  • Assist with balancing the register and maintaining accurate records throughout each shift.
  • Reconcile daily revenues and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Monitor and communicate with vendors at the site, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Provide customers with information about the facility, recycling practices, and policies, as well as alternative diversion methods and locations.
  • Ensure that facility grounds are kept clean, orderly, and free of litter.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on stationary cardboard compactors and assist with maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience in cash handling, cash register operations, and customer relations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with the public, other staff, and outside vendors.
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal direction, and to quickly and accurately complete transactions and prepare daily cash reports.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Working Conditions:

The Recycling Center is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high volume of customers and transactions. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in this environment, with the ability to move quickly and efficiently throughout the work area. The position requires regular bending, kneeling, and standing, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The work schedule is four days per week, with ten hours per shift.
