Position Overview

The Apparel Assistance Coordinator is essential in organizing and distributing garments to families in need through Charity Newsies. This role operates under the supervision of the Director of Warehouse Operations and offers a flexible work schedule, allowing for part-time hours throughout the week. Compensation for this position is set at an hourly rate of $17.

Primary Duties
  • Accurately assess and complete client 'fill sheets'
  • Prepare and package orders as instructed
  • Ensure the clothing area is well-maintained and stocked
  • Facilitate the distribution of clothing during designated pickups
  • Support additional responsibilities as directed by the Executive Director

Requirements

  • This role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting items weighing between 20 to 40 pounds
  • Experience working collaboratively within diverse teams and a proven ability to contribute effectively
  • Previous experience in retail, warehouse operations, or customer service is advantageous
  • A sincere dedication to advancing the mission of Charity Newsies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders
