Key Responsibilities of a Customer Advocate:

  • Provide breakdown assistance by collaborating with other dealers on behalf of customers to expedite repairs and ensure consistent communication through Service Tracker.
  • Act as a single point of contact for the dealer and DTNA (Daimler Truck North America) aftermarket experience, navigating necessary processes, tools, and personnel to support customer needs effectively.
  • Understand and leverage DTNA's portfolio of digital solutions to address and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Coach and educate customers on available digital tools and features.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication using tools such as Service Tracker.
  • Utilize Detroit Connect products/tools to enhance the service experience.
  • Guide customers through truck familiarization and feature exploration.
  • Support the sales process by sharing knowledge about the technology and tools associated with the trucks and dealership.
  • Identify and procure necessary parts within the network.
  • Provide vocational and body builder support, including interfacing with chassis and parameters, if applicable.
  • Participate in co-creation events with OEM to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED or higher.
  • Experience: Previous customer support experience or as a client service representative.
  • Strong understanding of dealership operations and customer business models.
  • Technical knowledge of vehicles; prior technician experience is a plus.
