Job Title: Principal Engineer - Water/Wastewater

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer - Water/Wastewater to join our Water/Wastewater Team in Ambler, PA; Bethlehem, PA; or Wilmington, DE.

Clean and safe water and wastewater management is vital for every community's well-being. CHA delivers environmentally friendly and cost-effective water, wastewater and stormwater projects. Our team offers full engineering and support services for industrial and municipal systems from initial planning through permitting, design, bidding, construction administration, start-up, certification, and ongoing operational assistance.

The Principal Engineer - Water/Wastewater has considerable engineering knowledge in their respective field and may provide leadership for their work group based on their extensive experience. The individual in this role is responsible for providing guidance and oversight to multiple teams working on numerous projects.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all phases of a technical project from conception and design to completion
  • Provide engineering guidance to other departments and training new engineering staff
  • Lead a team of engineers and provide technical direction
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions to complex problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Minimum 15 years' progressive engineering experience required
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required
  • Understands QA/QC procedures and basic business practices as well as laws related to engineering
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Completely familiar with and advocates for the company's standards for quality control and compliance
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas
  • An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Proven ability to lead a team
Salary Range:

$130,000 - $150,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
