Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in external DOT and safety-related audits
• Support the review of asset records & maps associated with O&M system descriptions
• Assist with internal compliance assessments
• Assist with spill reporting and incident response
• Assist with response plan (SPCC & FRP) reviews and updates
• Support annual Tier II chemical inventory reporting
• Active in the field with employees to coach and mentor Plains safety policies
• Review completed Work Permits
• Conduct incident investigations for company employees and contractors
• Work with Security Director implementing security plan for the district
• Participate in project kick off meetings
• Provide contractor safety oversight, includes operation contractors and major projects
• Conduct contractor safety audits
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Science, or a related Technical discipline
• 5 years field-related experience
• Proficient in written and verbal communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Adept in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Detail and task-oriented with the ability to work independently but also assist team members to accomplish shared goals
• Must participate in Plains Medical Surveillance and Drug and Alcohol program as required under OSHAs 29 CFR & PHMSA, 49 CFR Parts 192
• Must be able to apply and obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
