About the Role

Methodist ER Converse is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist III to join our team. As a key member of our Laboratory Department, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests, analyzing results, and maintaining quality control and quality assurance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specimen processing and testing, including moderate and high complexity testing, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Anticipate and evaluate the need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology to improve customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
  • Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory standards, and act as a resource to customers within and outside the department.
  • Manage assigned projects, including developing plans, coordinating resources, and completing projects within established time limits.
  • Understand, perform, and practice quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, and taking corrective action as required.
  • Understand, perform, and practice preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective action.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting is required.
License and Certificates Required
  • MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification is waived for those with 10+ years of lab experience.
About Methodist ER Converse

Methodist ER Converse is a 24/7 freestanding emergency center serving the Converse and surrounding area. Our state-of-the-art facility features 12 all-private treatment rooms, full-service laboratory, telemetry, and 24-hour monitoring and testing of cardiac patients. We offer a unique use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS), allowing staff to electronically transmit diagnostic images to any Methodist credentialed physician's office or specialist.
