Pay Range: $30-40/hr W2
Duration: 2-year contract
Overview:
Our client, a leader in the educational sector, is looking for two Telecommunications Support Specialists to assist with their communication enhancement project. This position will focus on supporting the voice and data network while providing opportunities for training in various IT support domains. This is a full-time contract role anticipated to last for 24 months.
- Expertise in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is essential
- Proficiency in Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients and assist users with inquiries related to network services
- Evaluate user requirements in voice and data communications and propose technical solutions
- Clarify service features, pricing, and coordinate the delivery of technical services
- Manage requests and maintain communication with clients through an enterprise ticketing system
- Assist clients with billing and database issues
- Serve as an escalation point for complex voice and data network service challenges
- Provision, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network switches, voice lines, and call center functionalities such as ACD and Auto Attendants
- Monitor incident resolution to ensure compliance with service level agreements
- Develop and implement new solutions for the knowledge base
- Stay informed about new products and service offerings to provide guidance to users
- Manage special projects, including reporting on voice and data usage, documentation, and training to maintain proficiency in current and emerging technologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience totaling four years
- Strong customer service skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Prior experience in supporting voice and data networks and telecommunications consulting
- Knowledge of call center design, auto-attendants, ACDs, and routing policies
- Experience with provisioning and maintaining PBX and VoIP phone systems
- Proficient in various operating systems
- Detail-oriented with robust troubleshooting capabilities
- Quick learner with self-direction and the ability to adapt to new applications
