Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize independent judgment to perform advanced mechanic tasks, applying established procedures and practices to specific scenarios.
  • Conduct comprehensive servicing and repairs on various equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and company protocols.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior mechanics, fostering their development.
  • Execute routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs as required.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues through visual inspection and computer diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of time, materials, equipment condition, and repairs performed.
  • Utilize computer software to track information, ensuring repair orders and timesheets are precise and complete.
  • Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare necessary safety documentation.
  • Adhere to DOT, EPA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Engage in training programs to enhance safety skills and knowledge, staying current with hazardous material training requirements.
  • Exhibit regular and predictable attendance.
  • Complete other assigned duties as necessary.
  • Perform essential functions at designated company locations.
  • Comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and industry-specific professional standards.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair, with four years of relevant experience, or five years of experience in heavy truck, automotive, or equipment repair, with equivalent trade school time applicable.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment daily, with proper licensing.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Effective teamwork skills for collaboration with colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and accurately documenting work.
  • Basic computer and data entry proficiency.
  • Experience with mechanical tools, materials, and testing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle and equipment design, operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to adhere to safety rules and operating procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Capable of lifting medium-level weights, with the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Work environment may include indoor settings with moderate to loud noise levels and outdoor conditions.
  • Exposure to various physical hazards, including moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
  • May be subject to vibrations from equipment operation.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $58,240 - $70,720 per year, commensurate with experience, paid weekly.
