Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute advanced mechanic tasks utilizing independent judgment to apply procedures and practices to specific work scenarios.
  • Conduct comprehensive servicing and repairs on various equipment types, addressing malfunctioning components in line with manufacturer specifications and company timelines.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior mechanics.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues through visual inspections or computer diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of time, materials, equipment conditions, and repairs conducted.
  • Utilize computer software to track information; ensure repair orders and timesheets are complete and precise.
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare necessary safety documentation.
  • Adhere to DOT, EPA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Engage in training programs to enhance safety skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with hazardous material training requirements.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Essential functions of this role will be executed at designated company locations.
  • Comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and industry-specific professional standards.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair, along with four years of relevant experience, or five years of experience in general heavy truck, automotive, or equipment repair; equivalent trade school time may be considered.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment daily, with proper licensing.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Effective teamwork skills for collaboration with colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills for conversing with team members, reading orders, and making accurate log entries.
  • Basic computer and data entry proficiency.
  • Experience with mechanical tools, materials, and testing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle and equipment design, operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to adhere to safety rules and operating procedures.

Physical Demands:

  • Engage in physical activities such as reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling for repairs and inspections.
  • Lift medium-weight objects, exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
  • Work in various environments, including indoor climate-controlled areas with moderate to loud noise levels and outdoor settings with potential inclement weather.
  • Face potential hazards from moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
  • Experience vibration from oscillating movements of extremities or the entire body.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $58,240 - $70,720 per year, commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Salary ranges are made in good faith and may be adjusted based on candidate qualifications.
  • Remote Work: Option for two days per week remote work for non-field roles based on position and performance.
