Clinical Director for Hospice Care

The Director of Hospice is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the clinical aspects of hospice care delivery. This role involves managing all operational activities impacting finances, cost control, clinical and regulatory compliance performance.
The ideal candidate will establish best practices to ensure care delivery meets industry standards for clinical care, agency mission, vision & values, profitability, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
This position requires a high focus on creating a positive work environment through motivation and engagement of staff to achieve retention of qualified staff at or above agency goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement clinical care strategies to improve patient outcomes
- Manage financial and operational performance metrics to ensure compliance and profitability
- Lead a team of clinical staff to deliver high-quality care and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in hospice care
Requirements:
- Current RN license within the State of practice
- Bachelors Degree required - Masters preferred
- Five (5) to Ten (10) years of managerial/executive level experience, preferably in home health/hospice
- Understanding of financial statements and financial analysis
- Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement initiatives, data usage, statistical method
- Skills in written/oral communication, supervision of staff, documentation requirements, service coordination, and case management
- Computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft programs required
