About the Role:
- As an LPN in our urology office, you will work closely with our physicians, advanced practice practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- You will be responsible for obtaining and accurately recording patient vital signs, documenting patient histories, and communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
- In addition, you will participate in in-office procedures under the direction of licensed healthcare providers, perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing, and assist with prescription call-backs as needed.
- You will also maintain inventory of supplies, keep patient examination rooms stocked, and adhere to Albany Medical Center's regulatory compliance issues.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required, and previous experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients, and their family members or other employees within the work setting.
- A valid LPN licensure upon hire is required.
Working Conditions:
- The role requires standing, walking, and frequent lifting and carrying, as well as occasional pushing and pulling. The noise level in the work environment can be constant, and there may be hazards present on occasion.
