We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Director for Cardiac Surgery to join our dynamic healthcare team at AAS Locum Tenens in Schenectady, NY.

Overview

AAS Locum Tenens offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional cardiac surgical care in a modern facility while collaborating with a skilled and supportive team. Our ideal candidate will possess board certification in cardiac surgery, active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, as well as an active and unrestricted New York medical license.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide cardiac surgical care Monday through Friday, working 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Duties include performing necessary procedures and interventions for cardiac surgery patients, ensuring comprehensive and high-quality care. The role also involves participating in a rotating on-call schedule, covering one week on and one week off, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex cardiac surgeries with precision and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, the candidate must possess:

  • Board Certification in Cardiac Surgery.
  • Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
  • An active and unrestricted New York medical license.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $400,000 - $600,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
