Job Summary

The Sales Consultant for Material Handling Solutions is tasked with identifying and securing capital equipment sales opportunities within a designated geographical area. This role involves collaborating with the sales manager to develop an annual business strategy and striving to meet or exceed the established objectives. The consultant will cultivate enduring relationships with clients by understanding their requirements and delivering solutions that positively impact safety, total cost of ownership, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all new equipment sales through ProLift Toyota Material Handling and independent channels within the assigned territory.
  • Drive growth in ancillary products offered by ProLift, including Warehouse Products and Specialty Products Groups.
  • Prepare equipment quotes, follow up on leads, support National Account Representatives as needed, demonstrate products, and present financial solutions.
  • Conduct application and product assessments, evaluate off-lease and trade-in equipment, and participate in ProLift and vendor programs as required.
  • Maintain exceptional communication through various channels, including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Exceed customer expectations through professional and courteous interactions.
  • Promote the philosophies, vision, strategies, and values of ProLift Toyota Material Handling, including the TLM 'Toyota Lean Management' approach.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a college degree in business, marketing, or communications, along with three years of sales experience and territory management expertise in capital equipment sales. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook, and Excel is essential. The Sales Consultant must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
