Job Title: Full Time Teller

NAFT Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Full Time Teller to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing financial transactions, providing exceptional customer service, and promoting credit union products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and inquiries.
  • Adhere to credit union policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
  • Provide high-quality customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inform customers about available banking services and products, promoting credit union offerings and increasing sales.
  • Perform daily balancing and reconciliation of transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Count, sort, and prepare coins for pickup, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Refer prospective investment customers to member services, promoting credit union products and services.
  • May be responsible for opening or closing the branch, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for customers.
  • Must be able to handle teller transactions in an efficient, accurate, and professional manner, standing for long periods of time and carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
  • High school degree or GED and previous experience in cash handling or customer service preferred.
  • Two years of previous cash handling and customer service experience in the banking industry is preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and consumers, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be responsible, reliable, dependable in their work and attendance, and willing to function on their own as well as a team member.
  • Must be able to work as many hours as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the job, including travel to branch offices and attendance at outside functions.
  • Must be bondable and possess a valid driver's license and liability insurance to drive to other offices if necessary.
