Job Overview

Fessler & Bowman Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing relationships and strategies to drive growth within the industrial concrete and civil earthwork markets.

This role will involve identifying target accounts, understanding customer-specific needs, and partnering closely with our Operations Team to set sales and growth priorities. You will ensure that Fessler & Bowman's footprint expands, and our product offerings meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and procure qualified opportunities for Fessler & Bowman through building relationships with existing customers and researching new clientele.
  • Generate leads through prospecting clientele and networking within the industry.
  • Create, build, and maintain relationships with engineers, architects, and other industry leaders.
  • Manage and forecast the sales pipeline for designated regions through collaboration with Regional Directors and procurement teams.
  • Make data-driven decisions to support the best use of procurement team time and resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience within the construction industry.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Proven ability to establish strong credibility and build relationships, operate in an environment of ambiguity, thrive in a highly competitive marketplace.
  • Strong results-orientation and commitment to quality, performance, and deliverables.
  • Effective multi-tasker with demonstrated ability to prioritize.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; ability to correspond in a professional, businesslike manner.
Travel and Work Environment

Travel to and from job sites and office locations is required for this position and is anticipated at 30%. Fessler & Bowman will compensate for travel when applicable.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be subject to various work environments, including office and field settings. Employees must be comfortable with sitting for an extended period.
