Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Education Program Manager to join our team at the Florida Department of Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion activities and programs aimed at reducing the burden of chronic diseases statewide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive health education programs and materials
  • Collaborate with state and local agencies, health systems, and community partners to promote best practices and coordinate health care delivery
  • Oversee the work of staff and provide guidance on program goals, strategies, and objectives
  • Administer and supervise the Environmental Approaches Section within the Bureau
  • Represent the Department on boards and councils, and at meetings and conferences as needed
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Public Health or a related field
  • At least two years of experience in public health, with a focus on chronic disease prevention and health promotion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
