Associate Merchandiser Job Description

Adecco Creative is partnering with a renowned fashion brand to recruit for an Associate Merchandiser. This role offers a potential temp-to-permanent opportunity and a hybrid schedule in Midtown Manhattan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Seasonal Development Calendar Management: Oversee team meetings and deadlines to ensure timely completion of seasonal development tasks.
  • Global Sales Analysis: Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and historical trends to inform future assortment decisions and prepare weekly recaps with actionable insights.
  • Competitive Landscape Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on market trends and newness, identifying opportunities for growth and holes in the current business.
  • Global Line Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create global line architecture based on market and business trends.
  • Seasonal Assortment Execution: Liaise with partners to execute seasonal assortments from concept to creation.
  • Brand Filter and Product Integrity: Uphold brand standards and product integrity across categories and markets.
  • Merchandising Support: Partner with the assistant merchandiser to manage daily merchandising responsibilities and ensure timely execution of deliverables.
  • Development Milestone Meetings: Prepare documents and presentations for development milestone meetings, including seasonal product briefs, design reviews, and internal market presentations.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and V-lookups) and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to utilize and master internal software systems.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate initiative, sense of urgency, and problem-solving skills to perform tasks under pressure.
  • Organizational and Time-Management Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multi-task independently.
  • Knowledge of Competitive Landscape: Understanding of the competitive landscape and experience preparing competitive decks.
  • Brand Knowledge and Passion: Understanding of the brand and a passion for accessories.
  • Experience: 3+ years in positions offering relevant experience within luxury, with experience working in a merchandising environment.
