Key Responsibilities
  • Support and implement UI/UX design modifications based on testing, customer feedback, and team goals in an agile environment.
  • Participate in product decisions from definition to release, ensuring that design solutions align with business objectives.
  • Improve designs based on testing, interviews, user research, surveys, and other forms of feedback.
  • Work with product owners, scrum teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements for new and existing features.
  • Collaborate with developers during sprints to answer questions and validate features as they are being developed.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards to be used by product and engineering teams.
Requirements
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • FOUR (4) years of IT experience as a UI/UX designer.
  • Good knowledge of design concepts, including interface design, prototyping, and design systems development.
  • Proficient with design tools like Sketch or Adobe XD.
  • Ability to articulate design requirements to be used by the development team.
  • General understanding of Web Development best practices (HTML5, CSS3).
  • Ability to maintain a big-picture vision while defining very detailed requirements.
  • Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.
  • Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building single-page applications consuming REST API.
  • Human Centered Design (HCD) Experience.
  • Experience participating in product decisions from definition to release.
  • Experience with federal government systems and supporting federal projects.
  • Experience implementing 508 Compliance.
