About the Opportunity

The Federal Reserve Board is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented graduate student to join our User Experience & Digital Innovation (UXDI) section as a UX Research Assistant. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in UX research and design, working on real-world projects that impact the Federal Reserve's research, analysis, and policy work.

About the Team

The UXDI section is responsible for designing and developing websites, applications, and processes that support the division's research, analysis, and policy work. We work closely with colleagues across the division to provide guidance on technology, information management, information security, and contingency planning.

About the Role/Project

We are seeking a graduate student to help us stand up a more active and available user and customer experience office that can provide UX/CX consulting support on-demand. The intern will assist in creating and maintaining templates and artifacts for this process, as well as providing hands-on support to UX research and design when needed.

Qualifications & Special Skills
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program, graduating no earlier than fall 2025, with a focus in UX design, user research, usability, interaction design, wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working with colleagues representing different disciplines and experience levels.

This internship will be performed in a hybrid schedule, with some on-site time required at our offices in Washington, D.C. US Citizenship is required for this internship.
