Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with litigation processes and case management.
  • Prepare and electronically file legal documents with various courts.
  • Draft outgoing correspondence and maintain organized documentation.
  • Handle daily communications with clients, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Update and manage databases, including case management systems.
  • Monitor ongoing cases and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Track all correspondence and actions required in case management.
  • Meet deadlines related to litigation tasks and case collections.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in an office environment.
  • Experience in a collection law firm is preferred.
  • Three years of professional experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the litigation process is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Texas E-Filing procedures and document management systems is a plus.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree or progress towards one is preferred.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential.

Preferred Skills:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Proactive approach to work tasks.
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset.

Work Environment:

This position involves:
