Finance Analyst

Parexel is seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to support project leaders in achieving their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate and timely financial analysis to support project leadership in project decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate the monthly revenue cycle and support project analysis requirements for less complex projects.
  • Provide updates on financial status for assigned projects and create information in response to client financial reporting needs.
  • Monitor balance sheet positions of projects within the portfolio and initiate action as needed to keep balances current.
  • Put steps in place with project teams to ensure pass-thrus are managed within project budgets.
  • Maintain, produce, and communicate a relevant and impactful set of project financial metrics.
  • Review labor assumptions on assigned projects and build discipline in project teams in charging time accurately.
General Expectations:
  • Deliver to expectations, such as project/proposal deliverables, reporting, etc.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
  • Learn quickly and apply gained knowledge to further deliverables and duties in role.
  • Understand fundamentals of CRO industry and how Finance's role influences in the organization.
  • Deliver standard/typical work deliverables with minimal issues.
Technical Expectations:
  • Demonstrate effective, proactive financial support.
  • Deliver accurate reports/information to various parties.
  • Understand drivers of success in role; able to hit deadlines with goal of first-time quality.
  • Continues building financial analysis skills.
Communication & Partnering Skills:
  • Organize workflow, understand how to manage time to hit deliverables.
  • Be more vocal in meetings and interactions within Finance and the broader organization.
  • Develop influencing skills, including using data to help persuade.
Skills & Education:
  • Prioritize, set expectations, and work in an efficient and disciplined manner.
  • Thrive in a complex, fast-paced, matrix environment.
  • Strong experience with Excel and PowerPoint applications; experience with financial performance systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • BA in Finance or Accounting, or relevant professional qualification preferred.
