Position Summary:

The Advent Geneva Business Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing business processes within the financial services sector. This position requires a strong background in business analysis, particularly with the Advent Geneva application.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience of 4+ years in an Agile setting, adept at crafting user stories.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Advent Geneva application and its data architecture.
  • Knowledge of data flow within the Advent Geneva accounting engine and familiarity with its data nomenclature.
  • Experience in data migration projects (not specifically related to Snowflake).
  • Skilled in Agile methodologies, with experience in fast-paced project iterations.
  • Expertise in requirement gathering, including the creation of Use Cases and Workflow Diagrams.
  • Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL, with experience in data mapping.
  • Experience in supporting User Acceptance Testing, as well as creating user manuals and conducting training sessions.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle, Testing Life Cycle, and Business Process Management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experience collaborating with development teams.
  • Agile certification (Scrum/Kanban).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in daily scrum meetings, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Assist product owners in managing the product backlog and planning upcoming releases.
  • Analyze requirements and develop user stories and use cases.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, data analysis, and architecture teams.
  • Participate in requirement and design review meetings to assess the impact of changes.
  • Contribute to project meetings and requirements walkthroughs as necessary.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing and resolve production incidents.
