Position Title: Pharmacy Operations Specialist - Per Diem

As a per diem, nonexempt Pharmacy Operations Specialist with CPS Solutions, LLC, you will support various pharmaceutical functions under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, dispense, and replenish medications as required.
  • Conduct order entry and manage procurement of pharmaceuticals.
  • Handle billing processes efficiently.

You will execute your responsibilities in accordance with established protocols and standards that align with pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements.

This role may also involve occasional duties at an alternate facility location.


Work Schedule:

This position does not have a fixed schedule; it will provide coverage for staff absences, including PTO, sick leave, and weekend on-call duties.


About the Facility:

The Brook Hospital - KMI is a 98-bed, Joint Commission accredited institution specializing in psychiatric and substance abuse treatment for adolescents, adults, and seniors.

Services for adolescents encompass Psychiatric Inpatient, Extended Care Inpatient, Substance Use Treatment & Recovery Rehabilitation (STAR), Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Dual Diagnosis Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Psychiatric Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Substance Use Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient (IOP).

Adult services include Psychiatric Inpatient, Substance Use Inpatient, Substance Use Rehabilitation, Transitional Residential Living House for Men, and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). CPS Solutions, LLC collaborates with the hospital to oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy.


About the Pharmacy:

The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and utilizes advanced technology such as Omnicell automated cabinets, HCS pharmacy order entry services, CPOE, and EMAR.


Required Qualifications:
  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited institution; PharmD preferred.
  • Current Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, make critical decisions, and address client inquiries.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and punctuality in a professional environment.

Hospital Requirements:

May include:

  • Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.
  • Documentation of MMR immunity or a blood titer.
  • Two documented doses of Varicella or a blood titer.
  • Hepatitis B series (or declination).
  • Influenza vaccination required for hire during specific months.
  • COVID vaccination.
