The Opportunity

The Systems Engineering team is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining a diverse range of IT infrastructure utilizing cutting-edge standards and technologies.

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with a comprehensive skill set in systems infrastructure and general programming. The ideal candidate will possess a rich technical background, demonstrating creativity and a passion for IT systems, alongside a commitment to standardization, optimization, and automation. This role requires experience in architecting, engineering, implementing, and supporting large-scale enterprise networks, storage solutions, and system infrastructures across public and private cloud environments, as well as on-premises solutions to serve end-users, developers, and both internal and external clients.

Successful candidates will remain informed about industry trends and advancements, proactively guiding the implementation of technology at Take-Two.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing information and operational support systems
  • Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, system management tools, and hardware, including virtualization and storage systems
  • Ensuring security, backup, offsite replication, and comprehensive disaster recovery strategies
  • Developing and maintaining custom scripts to enhance system efficiency and minimize manual intervention
  • Proactively ensuring optimal availability and performance across all systems
  • Monitoring and resolving alerting issues for all infrastructure systems while participating in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Assessing system performance for potential bottlenecks and collaborating to implement solutions
  • Providing second and third-level support for team-related assets and domains
  • Collaborating closely with vendors and IT personnel to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues
  • Creating and updating technical documentation and procedures
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Linux, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Extensive experience in building and managing virtualized environments (e.g., VMware)
  • Experience with private datacenter hardware/infrastructure, including servers (e.g., Dell, Cisco UCS) and storage (e.g., PureStorage, NetApp)
  • Skilled in deploying and configuring Storage Area Networks and software-defined file systems (e.g., FlashArray, vSAN)
  • Experience with backup platforms (e.g., Rubrik) management and monitoring
  • Practical networking knowledge (4-layer model, TCP/IP) with the ability to diagnose and remediate basic network issues (e.g., firewalls, routing/switching)
  • Proven ability to write and debug automation tools and scripts (e.g., PowerShell, shell scripts, Python)
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and tackling challenges
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
  • Familiarity with application stack administration and performance tuning (e.g., Tomcat, Apache/NGINX/IIS, databases)
  • Experience managing configuration management solutions (e.g., Puppet, Ansible)
  • Proficiency in IT infrastructure monitoring platforms such as CheckMK
  • Comprehensive knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, HyperV, Proxmox)
  • Experience with software development principles, including version control systems, Agile methodologies, and automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Perforce, Jenkins, Git)
