Job Duties:The Role:
- Contribute to the leading teams in graphics acceleration and compute processor units, focusing on the development of top-tier software infrastructure for diagnostic suites tailored for advanced client products.
- Our organization is tasked with delivering test patterns utilized for both pre and post-silicon verification as well as manufacturing screening processes.
- This position is within the 'Diagnostic Infrastructure' team, responsible for administering, maintaining, and enhancing the software automation foundation for build and execution, supporting various client platforms.
- We seek a passionate, innovative, and results-driven engineer eager to thrive in a fast-paced, cutting-edge technology environment.
- A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering is required, with a keen interest in administering, enhancing, and supporting development and continuous integration (CI) software and hardware infrastructure.
- Proficiency in understanding PC/server systems and build environments for both Linux and Windows is essential.
- Experience with CI/CD workflows and GitHub configuration is necessary.
- System administration and DevOps software infrastructure experience is a must.
- Experience in supporting operational and development workflows is required.
- A strong aptitude for solving complex challenges is expected.
- Primary directive: Plan and execute the migration of CI workflows from one Git versioning tool (Gerrit) to another (GitHub).
- Administer, maintain, and enhance infrastructure systems.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose mid and long-term solutions.
- Implement infrastructure features to facilitate diagnostic development and CI workflows to meet coverage objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external client infrastructure teams within the diagnostics group.
- Expertise in GitHub.
- In-depth knowledge of GitHub CI/CD and DevOps tasks, including pull request management, GitHub Actions, and multi-repository management.
- Familiarity with CI automation tools and configuration management, such as Buildbot (preferred) or Jenkins.
- Experience in system and software administration and development within the Engineering or IT sectors.
- Proficiency in server configuration management, including build, installation, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience in Linux and Windows administration, preferably with Ubuntu and/or RedHat certification.
- Database knowledge, particularly with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with compiled languages for debugging failures in GCC/C++ (preferred), Java, or C.
- Bonus for experience with the Gerrit Git versioning tool.
- Bonus for experience with Ansible.
- Desired degrees: Bachelor or Master of Science.
- Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
