Job Overview:

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Research Specialist to join our team.

About the Job:

This is a term appointment, funded for one year from the date of hire, with a possibility of renewal.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical characterization on semiconductor devices as function of radiation exposure.
  • Perform high resolution analytical microscopy and spectroscopy to identify radiation induced degradation in electronic materials and devices.
  • Perform in-situ experiments on devices and materials.
  • Analyze data.
  • Disseminate findings in journals and conferences.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ph.D. by the appointment start date in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical/Materials/Nuclear Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Excellent command on TEM imaging and analysis.
  • Foundation on semiconductor device physics, reliability is very helpful.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills.
  • Experience in radiation effects on electronic materials and devices is very helpful.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
