At The Pennsylvania State University, we invite applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position in the College of Engineering, in conjunction with the Smart Networking and Computing (SNeC) Lab. We seek a highly motivated individual to conduct research at the intersection of networking, optimization, and learning, with applications to collaborative virtual/augmented reality, mobile edge computing, and Internet of Things.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Professor Bin Li on research projects at the intersection of networks, optimization, and learning, with applications to collaborative virtual/augmented reality, mobile edge computing, and Internet of Things.
  2. Assist graduate students in preparing research reports for sponsored research contracts and participate in proposal writing for new funding opportunities.
  3. Prepare and present research results at domestic and international conferences.
  4. Publish findings in conference proceedings and technical journal articles.

Requirements:

We require a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field by the appointment start date. Research expertise in communication networks, online learning, and optimization is highly desired. The successful candidate must be strongly motivated, able to work independently, and have excellent collaborative abilities.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Penn State offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
