About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our Global Legal, Compliance, Regulatory and Government Affairs (GLCR) department as Associate General Counsel, Global Technology and Strategic Transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, structure, and negotiate complex technology contracts with cloud services, telecommunications, IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and SaaS vendors.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on the legal risks associated with the implementation and use of new technologies and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve for global regulatory issues and novel legal issues presented by technology initiatives.
  • Advise on technology and contract separation initiatives arising from M&A and divestitures.
  • Create and/or improve AIG's contract processes and policies.
Requirements
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and in compliance with all relevant state bar licensing requirements, including the licensing requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located.
  • 3+ years of law firm or in-house experience with a concentration on structuring and negotiating complex technology contracts.
  • Familiarity with applicable cybersecurity and privacy laws.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • A leader who collaborates effectively with colleagues at all levels of the Company, including senior executives, and across different functions to drive optimal outcomes.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and independently, with demonstrated time and change management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Sound judgment and good business sense, including the ability to provide tailored, practical advice based on context.
