Hennepin Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in Minnesota, is seeking a highly skilled Nephrologist to join its esteemed Nephrology Division. As a renowned Level I Trauma Center, we offer a diverse and challenging environment for medical professionals.

About the Position

We are looking for a talented Transplant or General Nephrologist to fill this exciting opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to serving diverse and underserved patient populations. The successful transplant applicant will be well-versed in all aspects of Nephrology, with a focus on transplant nephrology. The general nephrology candidate will have broader responsibilities related to electrolyte balance, nephrolithiasis, acute kidney injury, and continuous renal replacement therapy, chronic kidney disease, and end-stage renal disease.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in clinical research activities and contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Teach and mentor residents and fellows in the Nephrology Division.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Current or eligibility for licensure to practice as a physician in Minnesota.
  • Completion of an ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredited training program in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
  • Board certification in Nephrology within 4 years of completing training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of direct Nephrology experience in an ambulatory/inpatient setting.
  • Transplant experience or training.
