As a vital member of Apple's GPU Design team, you will focus on developing power-efficient, high-performance 3D graphics processor micro-architectures aimed at low-power mobile devices and high-performance personal computers utilized by millions daily.

Key Responsibilities: As a GPU Design Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality, low-power graphics intellectual property that aligns with our performance, timing, and area objectives.

You will assess design trade-offs while adhering to rigorous design principles. Furthermore, you will be expected to comprehend and contribute to pioneering micro-architectural specifications to create top-tier GPUs. Achieving this will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams in architecture, validation, modeling, and physical design.
Minimum Qualifications: We seek candidates with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
A strong foundation in GPU, CPU, or SIMD architectures.
Expertise in logic design, particularly in low-power techniques and timing optimizations.
Proficient in System Verilog HDL.
Ability to lead the bring-up and debugging of complex designs.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team to meet demanding product schedules.

We value teamwork, so strong communication, influence, and negotiation skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing GPU Schedulers, Execution Units, Texture/Pixel Units, or Caches.
A detailed understanding of synthesis tools, timing analysis, floor planning, and the Place and Route (PNR) flow.
Experience in hardware performance analysis.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.

Compensation & Benefits: At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package and is determined within a specified range.

This structure allows for growth as you develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, with your base pay contingent upon your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
