As a key member of Apple's GPU Design team, you will focus on developing power-efficient, high-performance 3D graphics processor micro-architectures intended for low-power mobile devices and high-performance personal computers utilized by millions daily.

Role Responsibilities: As a GPU Design Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver top-quality, low-power graphics intellectual property that aligns with our performance, timing, and area objectives.

You will evaluate design trade-offs while adhering to stringent design principles. Furthermore, you will be expected to comprehend and contribute to innovative micro-architectural specifications to craft best-in-class GPUs. To achieve this, you will work closely with cross-functional teams in architecture, validation, modeling, and physical design.
Minimum Qualifications: We seek candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
A robust background in GPU, CPU, or SIMD architectures.
Expertise in logic design, with a strong grasp of low-power techniques and timing optimizations.
Proficient in System Verilog HDL. Ability to lead the bring-up and debugging of complex designs.
Capability to collaborate effectively within a team to maintain productivity under tight product timelines.

We believe in the strength of collaborative teams, so strong communication, influence, and negotiation skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing GPU Schedulers, Execution Units, Texture/Pixel Units, or Caches.
A comprehensive understanding of synthesis tools, timing analysis, floor planning, and the Place and Route (PNR) process.
Experience in hardware performance evaluation.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.

Compensation & Benefits: At Apple, base salary is one aspect of our overall compensation package and is determined within a specified range.

This allows for growth as you advance within your role.

The base salary range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your salary will be influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are also eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if they voluntarily participate in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
